    Lanzarote

We have recommended just some of the outstanding restaurants available to you and again they are too numerous to list,

Puerto Bahia
- in the harbour(old town) of Porto del Carmen, is one of a group of restaurants on the hill overlooking the harbour and its the last restaurant as you walk along the harbour wall. You can sit outside overlooking the harbour and the food is very good

Bodeca Bar & Restaurant - again in the old town, is a Polish/Irish restaurant, the only place you get Irish Coffee with real cream, as every where else use the spray cream which is an acquired taste, the restaurant is located just off the access road into the old town harbour area(there is only one car access road). Going from the large car park in the harbour walk back up the hill until you meet a road to your left, the restaurant is at this junction.

Quintins - run by an Irish guy, food is excellent, the service sometimes slow, normally need to book, located reasonably close to the Fariones

El Charo - Mexican food, waiters are great fun, ideal for families, very good value if you are on a budget. Located in the centre of the New Town overlooking the sea

Fariones Health Club Restaurant - located in the Fariones gym/squash/tennis court centre, you get food is good, Pizza and fish a speciality and is just 2 min walk from the Fariones

For a special treat try Lagomar, located 20min drive from Puerto del Carmen in Nazareth. The restaurant was designed by Caesar Manrique and located in the same grounds as his home, its set within a cave and there are little bars located around the grounds cut within the rock. Well worth a trip, slightly more expensive than the norm but worth it. Need to book in advance.

Montmartre and El Tomate are two restaurants located together on the road down to the old town, they are the normal recommendations when visiting but we didn't find them that great.
